"How Majestic You Are"
There are animals you admire from a distance.
And then there is the elephant.
Up close, everything changes. The skin — ancient, mapped with years of living, every crease a story you will never fully know. The eye — small against the vastness of the face, yet somehow holding more quiet intelligence than you expect. The tusk curving downward with the unhurried confidence of something that has never needed to prove itself.
I spent a long time with this piece. Not because it was difficult, but because I did not want to leave. There is a particular kind of stillness that comes from drawing an animal this old, this large, this completely at ease with its own existence. I found myself whispering the title as I worked.
How majestic you are.
I grew up moving between four countries: Nigeria, the United Kingdom, China, and Ethiopia. In each place I arrived small, uncertain, trying to find my footing. The elephant never had that problem. It carries its home with it. It has always known exactly what it is.
I think that is what I was really drawing.

All prints are on premium Hahnemühle 100% cotton rag archival paper, and are printed with archival pigmented inks.
Note: Both the 8x10" and 11x14" prints includes an additional 1" white border, making it a total size of 10x12" and 13x16". The 16x20" and 18x24" prints includes an additional 2" white border (20x24" and 22x28" total). These borders give the collector the option of expanding their framing if they choose so. Each piece is hand signed by the artist on the additional border.

HOW WE PACKAGE:
The Studio uses eco-friendly, biodegradable glassine to protect your print, which is then carefully placed in a sturdy postal tube for delivery. We prefer simple, sustainable packaging that keeps the focus on what’s inside!

STUDIO TIPS:
Handle with care using clean, dry hands. For long-lasting preservation, frame your print behind glass and display it in a dry, moisture-free environment. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to preserve the longevity of the pigments.
