"Unpredictable"

You think you know what is coming.
You don't.

The rhino does not announce itself. It does not signal its intentions or wait for your permission. It moves on its own terms and in its own time. Toward whatever it has decided matters. The head is down. The horn is forward. And in those small deep-set eyes, something ancient and entirely unbothered by your presence.

I drew this piece during a period when I was thinking a great deal about certainty. About the comfort we take in believing we can predict what happens next, in the world, other people, and, in ourselves. The rhino offered a useful reminder. Some things simply cannot be mapped in advance. Some things you only understand once they are already in motion. Trust the process.

There is something freeing about that, if you let it be.

This is not a piece for walls that want to be comfortable. It is a piece for walls that want to make you think, every time you walk past it, about what you are moving toward and whether you are moving with enough conviction.

All prints are on premium Hahnemühle 100% cotton rag archival paper, and are printed with archival pigmented inks.

Note: All print sizes come with an additional 1" white border, making a total size of: 12x10, 16x13, 22x18, 26x20, 38x26, 42x32. These borders give the collector the option of expanding their framing if they choose so. Each piece is hand signed by the artist on the additional border.
